Recently I’ve had several families that I work with along with a couple of individuals I have encountered in my work life ask about how to improve their meals. Where do I start? What is the best way to make changes? There’s too much information out there. I get confused.

Many times I am recommending creating a meal plan to help families be prepared for including vegetables with their meals or planning out snacks so kids aren’t just reaching for the closest thing they can find. With the limited time I have to spend with them, I am not able to help them fully sketch out what this will look like and develop a plan to implement it.

This got me to thinking–is this something that would be helpful to some of the Moms, Dads, and families that I know? The kids are going back to school in just over two weeks. Now might be a good time to start making a few changes to help the school year start off on the right track. Let’s face it, that first week of school might be a welcome return to routine. After that, those fall activities start up, and it is off to the races for us parents!

What I’m thinking of would be a Facebook Live that would help families start improving the nutrition in their meals and snacks in a very simple way. Then we can talk about expanding those first small changes until you have those meals and snacks set up the way you want them. This isn’t about making freezer meals although that’s a great idea if you have some recipes and are up for it. This isn’t about a certain “diet” or specific foods that you should or shouldn’t eat. It’s about scheduling, really. Improving nutrition through the schedule. This would take an hour at the most, and I would provide you with some meal planning worksheets that are very simple. I am by no means saying that I am the expert in this. I just happen to have some experience on this and on helping families make changes that I can bring to the table that may be helpful to you.

Let me know on social media if this is something you would be interested in, and I can set up a date and time!
